The Audi R8 is supposedly one of the more boring supercars you can buy. But from where we stand, it's an amazing V10 experience with infinite customization options.
This project is one of the wildest we've ever seen, and it involves extreme body mods. The focal point is a set of gold-painted wheels from Vossen.
Now, the Miami company has too many designers to remember, but the LC2-C1 is the only one that stands out right now. It's got a circle in the middle allowing for two types of spokes to connect. This was undoubtedly inspired by the Worthersee tuning community, whose interest in supercars has grown over the years.
The color is not gold, but "polished bronze" and it works well with the white paint of the supercar. At the front, we've got 20x9-inch wheels while the back ones are a little wider at 20x11.5-inch. In both cases, Accuair Airride air suspension brings the bodywork closer to that color.
At this moment, we don't know the maker of that extreme body kit. However, it could put some race cars to shame. The front features carbon canards and a large air splitter. Carbon side skirts are also included.
But most of the magic happens at the back, where we see some of the bumper has been removed, making way for a diffuser that sticks out several inches and comes with adjustment struts. A large wing towers over the engine bay thanks to intricate mounts.
We also can't ignore the fact that the 610 horsepower V10 engine is running straight pipes now, which means other mods might have boosted the output to around 650 HP. This crazy owner also opted to tint not only the taillights but also the headlights. Hey, it's not like anything else about this car is legal! And by the way, where are the Audi badges?
