The Mercedes-Benz G is an SUV in a class of its own, having changed little, from a design standpoint, when compared to the original 1979 model. However, even the latest incarnation, which is now packed with the best stuff Mercedes has at its disposal is not enough for some.
Actor and martial artist, Anton Kasabov, is one of those people. He drives a Hamann-modified G55, called the Typhoon - it was the original barer of the name, until the tuner released its packs for the BMW X5M and X6M.
Now, if the original G wasn’t brash enough the Typhoon simply cannot be missed, regardless of whether you are a petrolhead or not - it is one of the most imposing vehicles you could ever come across on the road. Pretty it may not be, but there’s no denying it has presence.
It also gets a 35 hp power boost from the 5.5-liter V8, bringing the total figure to 600 hp. The colossal power figure allows it to sprint from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in an incredible 5.1 seconds, before topping out at 260 km/h (162 mph).
