It's been four months since Kia unveiled the 2025 Carnival for the United States, and now the model is finally on sale in our market, complete with its mid-cycle updates and an added electrified version.
Its predecessor used to kick off at $34,565, and for the 2025 Kia Carnival LX, interested parties will have to cough out at least $36,500. This represents a $1,935 bump over the old 2024 LX. Standard gear includes seating for seven, a tri-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless smartphone integration, a smart key with push-button start, front and rear parking sensors, power-sliding rear doors, and several safety gizmos.

The 2025 Carnival LXS is $2,000 pricier than the entry-level and adds seating for eight with power adjustment for the driver, heated front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, and SynTex upholstery. The Carnival EX comes from $40,700 and features 19-inch alloys, roof rails, an electric tailgate, an in-cabin camera, an intercom, window shades for the second and third rows, a memory function for the driver's seat, a wireless charging pad, etc.

For the 2025 Kia Carnival SX, customers will have to pay a minimum of $45,600. This grade adds LED front fog lamps, a panoramic and curved 12.3-inch display, ventilated front seats, a digital key, two 115V outlets, and more safety gear. The Carnival SX Prestige starts at $50,600 and brings a Bose audio system, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, an 11-inch head-up display, and can be optionally equipped with a rear-seat entertainment system, ambient lighting, and others.

The 3.5L V6 soldiers on, powering all grades mentioned above. It produces 287 horsepower (291 ps/214 kW) and 260 pound-foot (353 Nm) of torque. However, the big news is the introduction of a hybrid option. This assembly combines a 72 hp (73 ps/54 kW) electric motor and a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and features an automatic transmission with six forward gears. The total output and torque are rated at 242 hp (245 ps/181 kW) and 271 pound-foot (367 Nm) in this case.

Kia offers the electrified powertrain on the LSX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige versions of the 2025 Carnival. Pricing for the most affordable hybrid variant starts at $40,500, going up to $42,700 for the EX, $47,600 for the SX, and $52,600 for the SX Prestige. All prices exclude the $1,395 destination charge, as well as any optional extras and dealer markups.

The pre-facelifted version of the Kia Carnival used to start at $34,565 for the LX, $36,565 for the LX Seat Package, and $40,065 for the EX. The 2024 SX used to kick off at $43,265, and for the old Carnival SX Prestige, interested parties had to pay a minimum of $47,665, excluding destination.
