Always restless and incessantly keeping itself busy, the Bavarian automobile producer BMW has a lot of novelties going on around it.
Let us give you a few examples: the second facelift for the G20 BMW 3 Series (including M3), the new M4 GT3 EVO racer that is longer than the old M5 and wider than a Ferrari Enzo, or the latest entry into the textbook controversy course, their fresh 1 Series. But is that enough? Nope, cries the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, of course!

For example, Avarvarii Automotive Artworks (aka avarvarii on social media) has taken a good, extended look at BMW's plans and decided he knows the next X3's looks in advance of the company's planned official reveal. The initial BMW X3 was introduced in 2003 based on the 3 Series platform, and it's one of their most important sales products because it hits a sweet spot in the company's X-line of SAVs (Sports Activity Vehicle) – it's smaller than the X5 and X6 but larger than X1 and X2.

The current third generation – dubbed G01 internally – has been around since 2017, and the mid-cycle facelift (or LCI – Life Cycle Impulse as they like to call it) was revealed three years ago in June 2021. Naturally, that means BMW knows the X3 is quickly approaching the end of its lifespan, and we have already seen prototypes of the Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLC fighter for quite some time already.

Thus, according to the rumor mill and the parallel universes of vehicular CGI represented by this pixel master, BMW will soon proceed as early as later this month to introduce the all-new, fourth-generation X3 with the codename G45. Allegedly, the global X3 lineup will feature gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid powertrain options, while the next iX3 has been moved to the Neue Klasse series based on a new platform and is slated for next year.

That also means the BMW X3, which is slated to use an enhanced version of the CLAR architecture, won't get controversial styling – the Neue Klasse models will have that in abundance. Diesel engines are still alive at BMW, but they're losing the popularity game to EV sales, and most likely, BMW will immediately come out with an M Performance version of the new X3 during the official presentation.

Until then, the CGI expert has prepared his unofficial vision for the rumor mill – and it's a BMW X3 that's easily recognizable as part of the Bavarian family thanks to the classic kidney grille and also one that maintains a connection to its predecessor thanks to the similar treatment of the LED taillights. Of course, always take these hypothetical renderings with a healthy pinch of salt until the automaker releases the official design!
