California-based luxury car manufacturer and Honda subsidiary Acura has unveiled its 2013 SEMA Show lineup, which consists of three custom-built RLX and ILX sedans.
The first concept - called RLX VIP and created by Evasive Motorsports - features carbon fiber bumpers, titanium exhaust tips, high-performance brakes, 21-inch wheels, and Acura Genuine Accessories components, among other modifications.
The second RLX showcased at SEMA is dubbed Urban Luxury Sedan and was developed by MAD Industries, who added an Acura Genuine Accessories deck lid spoiler, 22-inch Niche wheels, Nitto Invo tires, satin black calipers and 3M brushed black metallic film door and trim accents.
Lastly, there’s the Street Performance ILX sedan, also created by MAD Industries, that comes with some powertrain modifications besides visual updates similar to the RLX models above. The ILX features a CT Engineering supercharger kit and intake, a Greddy SP Elite prototype exhaust, and a K&N high-performance air filter.
"How better to amp up the inherent luxury, excitement and prestige of the Acura Brand than to partner with the enthusiast crowd and create these custom RLX and ILX sedans," said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of Auto Operations. "SEMA is where we go to add that little bit of spice that brings out the true performance character in our Acura lineup."
More details on the three concept vehicle can be found in the press release below.
