Every now and again, we encounter a crew that's out to change the way the industry does things. This time around, that crew is All Good Equipment Co. and their one and only teardrop camper design is here to show the world that, yes, nearly everyone can afford to hit the road in a travel trailer.
Ladies and gents, I don't expect you to know who All Good may be. Heck, until a couple of days ago, even I hadn't heard of this San Fran-based crew, but boy, am I glad I did. The main reason is that the one and only product they seem to offer is nothing more than a teardrop camper, one designed to be affordable, capable of handling the road ahead, all the while being crafted with love and care; that's the feeling I got from my discussions with All Good. If you get ahold of them, I'm sure you will too.

Now, before we hop into the camper we see in the image gallery, allow me to point out a bit about All Good, especially since this young-at-heart crew is no more than a newborn in comparison to other established industry giants, having officially started back in 2022. Yet, what sets this crew apart from other manufacturers out there is the fact that they're a family-owned business, and this means a completely different approach to building, designing, and delivering campers to customers.

For example, All Good offers a tailored and one-on-one expereince from head to finish because they don't work with any middlemen or dealerships to deliver your camper; you have to get in touch with them, explain your dreams and aspirations, and bring along $25,000. Yes, $25K is all you need to get your hands on what you see in the image gallery. But, do bring along some extra bucks in case you want to go wild and All Good accepts.

As for what makes these puppies so dang special, allow me to start off by pointing out that All Good brings these campers to life with nothing more than good old sweat and elbow grease; each is handcrafted and completed using some of the industry's finest and most tested materials.

For example, the exterior of these units is completed using timeless aluminum, ensuring a corrosion-free experience and a lightweight design. All the wood you see is nothing more than marine-grade Okoume wood, which has a solid strength-to-weight ratio. Did I mention that it looks absolutely amazing?!

I'll be honest; the red glow from the Okoume wood, mixed with the shiny metal contrast (wink-wink) of aluminum, just works wonders on the eyes. Heck, once you nestle it against a backdrop of dark green foliage and trees, it's just a show-stopper; what more can I say?

Oh, and that's clearly not the end of the teardrop's magic. One aspect we need to consider when talking about an All Good camper is the fact that this crew aimed for and created a travel trailer that's as recyclable as possible, hence all the wood and aluminum. But, beyond that, the insulation is crafted from nothing other than, wait for it, "minimally-processed sheep's wool." Oh yeah!

If you have no idea what wool can do, you need to go out and buy some Merino. All I can say about wool, having grown up on a sheep farm and all, is that this stuff is amazing at keeping you warm in the winter and does a great job managing moisture.

Since I knew about the effects but not how wool achieves this, I chose to do some research. It has a whole lot to do with air pockets formed between wool fibers; those pockets trap warm air and reduce heat conduction, and it's all eco-friendly.

Now, like most other teardrop campers on the market, the rear of the unit is home to nothing more than the galley, with all its cupboards and shelves, space for a fridge, and sink and faucet, and while it may look simple, that's just the beauty of it all; a unit doesn't need to cost a whole lot to look good and function properly, and All Good proves this with this space. Even the systems gauges look amazing how they're integrated into that marine wood; it has that whole old-school feel!

Inside the camper, the same wood makes up the paneling but also the cupboard where you can store your clothing, books, and any other utensils you like to bring along on trips. A mattress for two, maybe three people is then added, and your camper is complete.

I'm just kidding. The All Good teardrop consists of countless other pieces of equipment and systems, including the torsion axle, tongue box, roof rack, electrical wires, and 4 gals (15 lit) of fresh water as standard. Once all that is installed, we'll have a unit that weighs as little as 1,080 lbs (490 kg). The All Good teardrop was designed to be towed by a '71 VW bus, so anything with more power, including a Prius, can handle this trailer.

So you've found what you consider to be the right camper for you? If that's the case, you can call All Good, as I mentioned, or head down to All Good's San Carlos workshop and see one for yourself every third Thursday of the month or by appointment. If you do, let us know how it all went in the comments section.
