One day, someone brought a wrecked 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye to their shop, parked it, and just left it there. A few days later, they got a phone call from the owner. They decided to buy it and fix it. Eight hours later, it was as good as new.
The owner told them that the Dodge had gone airborne and landed violently on the pavement, which explains all the deformation it suffered. He told them the car had been in a crash involving DUI with someone who borrowed it from him. But it came with a clean title and only 4,000 miles (6,437 kilometers) on the odometer.

They had to change the entire subframe, because it was severely bent. They had to rip apart the entire rear end for the exact same reason. Once they started dislocating parts of it, they exposed serious issues.

Now, they are almost sorry they paid $30,000 for it when it was probably worth $5,000 less. On landing, it hit the muffler and the exhaust pipe, while the rail was pushed up one or two inches. Pulling the metal down might help the Dodge return to its standard shape.

Cutting, welding, pulling, and polishing did the job. Everything snapped back into place and it only took an hour. They are going to put in a new exhaust and build the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye back like a puzzle. They also came up with a new cooling system. When they fire it up, the HEMI sounds like it longs to be on the road again.

All the airbags were deployed on impact. So they bought an entire dashboard from a Dodge dealership because they are planning to make this car look and drive as good as new. Now all airbags are in place.

There is, though, an issue with the driver’s seat. When the side airbag was deployed, it stretched the leather on the side of the seat and cracked it. It would be too expensive to buy the upper skin from the dealership.

Paintwork would be one of the last stage of the rebuild. They’ve got a new front bumper and splitter that perfectly fall into place.

There are still a few dents on the hood and they are going to have an expert come down and take a look it at it. If he can’t fix it, they are going to go for a carbon fiber hood.

Now, they are bragging about the fastest rebuild that they have ever done. It took them one hour to swap the subframe, another one for the cooling system swap, one hour for the framework. It took them two hours to take the dashboard out and put it back in with all airbags in place and another two hours for the bumper paintwork. The bumper installation lasted one more hour for a total of eight.

This means that an eight-hour work will bring them quite a profit on the car they bought for $30,000 and fixed with $10,830. Now are planning to run some more mods on it and eventually sell it. And they will have to change the tires. On the previous episode, they made some burnouts, leaving behind a cloud of dust in the air and rubber on the pavement.

The original estimated price was anywhere between $55,000 and $60,000. Now, considering how the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye turned out, they are probably going to ask for more.
