The good folks over at the racing-focused ImportRace channel on YouTube have interrupted their usual programming because they are not at their usual venue - Island Dragway in Great Meadows, New Jersey, but at BMP – Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida.
It seems the Street Car Event at Bradenton Motorsports Park just keeps on giving interesting action for this videographer as we see all sorts of highlights interspersed with the host's usual home location (Island Dragway) and other interesting events such as the 65-mph roll racing event at Pocono Raceway, among others.
So, after witnessing stuff like a turbo Hellcat roll over its competition at Pocono or a BMW M5 stomp over its C8 Corvette competition twice at Island Dragway, now it's time for some Bradenton skirmishes – both of the drag and roll racing variety. Just recently, the videographer put the accent on a Whipple-supercharged Ford F-150 that went against mighty rivals like the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, Chevy Corvette ZR1, or Audi S6.
After that, you would think they are going to slow down a little bit, right? Nope, not at all. Instead, the focus is now on a crimson Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat that will surprise you with great ETs. First and foremost, to put things into the proper perspective, the inaugural skirmish was against a camouflaged Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and this race was clearly between expertly-tuned racers, hence the 9.24s versus 9.52s result.
This was the first but not the last victory for the Charger, by the way – even though not everything turned out rosy during that drag racing event. Moving on to the second brawl, the Mopar faced off against a heavily modified Chevy Camaro, and the two looked well-motivated to deliver a spectacle. They didn't disappoint, that's for sure, hence the spectacular 8.93 versus 9.04s result. That's the second win for the Chargers, by the way.
Well, as it turns out, it was time for a break away from the streak win – a Fox Body Ford Mustang came along to interrupt the party and swiftly took home the victory with a better reaction time and an 8.76s ET versus its Mopar opponent's 9.36s pass. No worries, later during the night, the Charger returned prepared to face off with a modern Chevy Camaro ZL1 and smoked it with flying colors: 9.15s versus 10.36s.
Last but not least, there were also a couple of roll races with a 40-mph start – the first was conducted against the Whipple-supercharged Ford F-150, but the Blue Oval didn't stand a chance as the Mopar hit 145 mph, and the pickup truck only rose to 112 mph. The final roll was against a mighty Chevy Corvette, and this one was closer than the thinness of a cat's whisker!
