According to latest statistics, the Toyota Fortuner is the most popular SUV in India, with 7 out of 10 SUVs priced between RS15-25 lakh sold being one of them.
The Fortuner registered a 12 percent sales increase between April and November 2013 compared to the same period of last year, with 11,416 units delivered in the period.
“We have been able to maintain the demand momentum for Fortuner since its launch and managed to further increase it this year.” said Toyota Kirloskar Motors chief operating officer Sandeep Singh. “The Fortuner caters to all the requirements, of a customer, of a complete SUV.”
On the other hand, the Fortuner’s rivals are pretty much going down, with vehicles like the Hyundai Santa Fe registering a 44 percent sales loss while the Ford Endeavour’s sales shrunk by 50 percent.
