Regardless of what brands and modern types of cars they're into, most enthusiasts have a soft spot for one particular classic ride (or more). And if that model is called the Chevrolet Impala, which probably is, or you likely wouldn't be reading these lines if it wasn't, then you should take a moment and check out the one pictured below.
Does it look like a great contender for complete restoration? That's because it is one. Sure, you may be able to land a far less expensive copy, but then again, you would also have a lot more work on your hands. It is a 1969 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, a highly popular model that still gets certain petrolheads enthusiastic these days.

Made at multiple facilities all over the nation and in Canada and Australia, the fourth-generation Impala came in multiple body styles, including coupe, sedan, station wagon, and convertible. It was tied to the era's Caprice, Bel Air, Biscayne, Townsman, and others and was mostly offered with a V8 under the hood, though the lineup did include a straight-six. Manual and transmission options were available, and the most gears you could get on it back then was four on a stick shift.

This one comes with an automatic that is still paired with the original 327 ci. The 5.4-liter V8 engine looks very clean in the images released by the vendor. Then again, the entire car does, too, inside and out. It has a red look, a black top, five-spoke wheels, a lot of chrome accents, a black interior, and a three-spoke steering wheel, featuring a layout that can only be considered Spartan these days. It has no modern amenities, as even the radio is the original unit equipped to it at the factory.

Since we no longer get hideaway headlights, we are head over heels for this feature, which makes the entire face look more menacing with the main clusters hidden away. This 1969 Chevrolet Impala Convertible has traveled 107,742 miles (173,394 km) during its lifetime, and it is only natural that it needs a bit of tender loving care. The question is, are you the one to make it shine the way it did when it left the factory floor 55 years ago?

If you said yes, you next should click on this link, which will take you to the Garage Kept Motors listing. The ad reveals a buy-it-now price of $37,900, which is certainly on the steep side when it comes to this model, but it is one ride that has been nicely kept afloat all these decades, and that should mean everything for a serious buyer. So, would you grab it for the asking sum in a sea of classic cars?
