We've found a really nice walkaround video of the all-new TT RS. This one belongs to Audi and was built to order, showing how crazy things get when customers have deep pockets.
Regarding colors and customization, the green TT RS has more going for it than any of the 2017 R8 supercars we've seen so far.
The color is officially called Lime Green and comes from the Audi Exclusive catalog. However, we like to see it as a modern interpretation of the original Lamborghini Miura supercar. Anybody got some gold wheels we can borrow?
Even though fast Audis traditionally have silver mirror caps to set them apart from their regular counterparts, this features optional carbon fiber ones. According to the specs sheet, this $66,400 coupe also features a carbon cover for its brand new 2.5-liter turbo engine. How exotic!
The 20-inch wheels somehow look small, even though this is one of the tiniest 2-seats around. We also notice that the front track is the same as on the TTS, and there are no fender flares. Would you pay that much money for an Audi TT?
Before you give your answer, let's just run down some of the important specifications. As we've mentioned, the engine is all-new and features aluminum construction. With 400 horsepower in a tiny body, this should be faster than the Mercedes-AMG A45.
In fact, it's even faster than the equivalent Porsche, the 718 Cayman S, which also features a 2.5-liter turbo engine, but of the boxer configuration: 3.7 seconds versus 4.2 seconds to 100 km/h.
Considering Porsche has also downsized to a turbo engine, the TT RS is in with a fighting chance. This well equipped Miura impersonator is actually cheaper than the Cayman S, which starts at €66,944. However, its main selling points remain the technology and the design, not fun handling.
