Seeing a BMW M5 with a single exhaust tip could mean only two things - either one of them fell off, or the car suffered an engine transplant.
And while M5s don’t usually suffer from exhaust-falling syndrome, it means that there should be another engine housed in its engine bay. But what can be better than the 5-liter V10 pushing 500 horsepower and 520 Nm (380 lb-ft)?
A heavy tuned 2JZ engine from the legendary Toyota Supra seems to do the trick. Modifications include 272 camshafts, precision 6265 turbocharger, Supra intercooler, KMS engine management unit, ported head, Koyo radiator, three Bosch 044 fuel pumps and a 4-inch downpipe. Total power is rated at 851 horsepower and 1,044 Nm (770 lb-ft) of torque, all going to the rear wheels via a 530 diesel gearbox with an ABC clutch adaptor plate and custom propshaft.
But the engine is not the only modification done to this E60 M5, as it has all the right parts to go hit the track at anytime. See them all in the photo gallery bellow.
