As far as the South Korean automaker is concerned, the automotive newsreel has two major subjects – its upcoming GT versions of some all-electric models and its potentially US-bound Tasman mid-size pickup truck. Well, now the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has decided to combine the two subjects into one.
We all know that an all-new, all-electric crossover is coming from Kia later this month – the affordable EV3 might cost as low as $32k when it arrives on the market. But it's not the only EV novelty from the prolific South Korean automaker. Instead, the company is also talking about its EV9 GT flagship and how it will have "enormous power" when it debuts early next year – most likely enough to represent an alternative to the Tesla Model X.

Some revealing images have also appeared with the Kia EV5 GT before we're supposed to see it, along with certain specifications to go along with it – but it's less important for America than the EV9 GT because it won't come here to clash with the EV6 GT. Speaking of the latter, by the way, did you know that it, along with the regular EV6, is getting a refresh soon?

Also, Kia has been adamant about its readiness to join the mid-size pickup truck game – and it has incessantly teased and talked about the new model. We already know its name – Tasman – signaling it will strive to conquer the Australian outback above all else, as well as most of its looks because the company presented a prototype dressed in a funky camouflage. Interestingly, the Kia Tasman was also caught testing in the US, so there are hopes that it may clash with the Toyota Tacoma and the rest of the American representatives of the sector.

Interestingly, the parallel universes of vehicular CGI also have an opinion about what should come from Kia – and the Halo oto channel on YouTube provides fresh automotive info corroborated with their virtual designs; now, there are new CGI ideas about an upcoming Kia EV truck. More precisely, they basically combined just about everything fresh at Kia into one and came up with the EV9 sporting a bed and the workhorse attitude.

Most likely, if ever real (Kia has promised in the past that it will build EV pickup trucks, but things are decidedly different nowadays), this all-electric pickup truck would be oriented towards a fashionable audience like the Tesla Cybertruck rather than the likes of Rivian's R1T, GMC's Hummer EV, and Ford's F-150 Lightning. However, it would probably arrive at a lower pricing point than the Chevy Silverado EV RST and GMC Sierra EV Denali, thanks to economies of scale due to its obvious sibling relationship with the on-sale Kia EV9 crossover SUV.
