In production since 2018 and offered in America since the 2020 model year, the Hyundai Palisade mid-size crossover SUV has been the South Korean automaker's flagship on the local market.
It's been a great-selling one, although delivery reports have mostly shown that it has always been ever-so-slightly below the Kia Telluride sibling. Naturally, that means the Hyundai Palisade will be the first to receive an all-new generation to renew interest after the models were both refreshed in 2022. We already know – thanks to the numerous escapades of the rumor mill, which constantly pesters testers when out with prototypes – that an all-new Palisade iteration is on the way.
Hyundai likes to keep things long and arduous – so the rumor mill has already caught some corner office head honchos ramping up the hype when they said the next Palisade will be deeply redesigned and quite different from the current model. Obviously, we are expecting such a move considering the most recent designs like the Hyundai Kona or especially the all-new, boxier Santa Fe. However, while they're both quite easy to stand out in any crowd, they're also vastly different from each other, so there's no superimposing of designs as we see from other brands.
Anyway, back to the 2026 Hyundai Palisade, everyone expects an official announcement before the end of the year or early 2025. The company could very well use its staggered approach like on the Santa Fe – an initial online reveal of the exterior design, a second debut with complete information later on, and the third time would be the physical launch charm, probably somewhere in America – Santa Fe was introduced in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Hence, we suggest the neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, for the Palisade, of course.
Until then, naturally, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is diligently taking care of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI. The latest to work out the pixels and bend them according to their will are the good folks over at Kolesa, along with their resident pixel master Nikita Chuicko, aka kelsonik on social media. Thanks to the latest spies of ongoing prototype testing, the CGI expert believes now there's a more complete 'picture' of the next installment, complete with a pixel-like design.
That's easily observable in the author's unofficial front light treatment, which is a combination of Kona's high LED cross-bar and Hyundai's dotted DRLs as seen (albeit with a different geometry) on the refreshed 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The profile is quite boxy and elegant, not unlike on the Santa Fe, but it's pretty obvious that Hyundai wants to make the Palisade ritzier (and pricier) to avoid cannibalization. At the rear, another full-width LED bar units the vertical pixel-like taillights and an upright rear door to maximize interior space. So, what do you think?
