This 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon SUV Variant Is Merely Wishful Thinking, At Least For Now

The virtual automotive artist behind the Evren Ozgun Spy Sketch channel on YouTube has a 'slightly' different interpretation of the 2025 Bugatti Tourbillon – he just imagined it as an ultra-exotic super-SUV that would make the Lambo Urus SE, Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II, or the Ferrari Purosangue cry like babies. CGI ones, of course.
The future of Bugatti during 2024 is already well showcased – the Bugatti W16 Mistral roadster is entering the final testing phase and extends a little while longer the legacy of the (in)famous W16 engine. They are also focusing on the Bugatti Bolide track-only sports car, which is also equipped with the quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 mill. And, of course, they are diligently preparing for the first deliveries of the mid-engine hybrid sports car named after the tourbillon mechanism, which is a special balancing structure common to a variety of mechanical watches.

Of course, there's also a timepiece fashioned after the Bugatti, complete with a miniature V16 engine you can wear on your wrist. But that's not the focus of the story here. Instead, although the Chiron successor will only get a smaller batch of 250 cars during its production lifetime, we are pretty sure that Bugatti will think about a myriad of derivatives – just like they refashioned the predecessor into Divo, Centodieci, la Voiture Noire, Bolide, and Mistral relatives.

Well, if you're allowing the imaginative realm of digital car content creators to dream about the first Bugatti Tourbillon derivative, this pixel master thinks that an SUV would not be detrimental to the cause. On the contrary, it would allow Bugatti to take over the reins of the ultra-luxury super-SUV sector. In this stratosphere, currently, the 789-hp Lamborghini Urus SE reigns supreme (in terms of PHEV power) over the likes of Ferrari's Purosangue, Rolls-Royce's Cullinan Series II, and many others.

The CGI expert's plan is simple – he's keeping the Bugatti DNA – or at least some parts of it – intact, like the horseshoe radiator grille and the C-shaped profile, and adjusting everything else to fit the looks of a nimble ultra-exotic super-SUV. This model wouldn't be for those looking to spend a weekend out on the open range – it's for people who want a Bugatti with four doors, a trick air suspension, and enough space for a weekend getaway.

With this being a design project, there's no way of telling where the powertrain resides – but it's the sensible thing to imagine that it would be the same plug-in hybrid setup with an 8.35-liter Bugatti Cosworth V16 and three electric motors with a combined output of 1,775 horsepower, all sent to the wheels through an eight-speed DCT. So, what do you think? Should Bugatti start the Tourbillon saga with the usual bespoke derivatives or step up the revolution with the arrival of their first-ever crossover SUV model?
