The 2024 Subaru WRX lineup comprises the Base, Premium, Limited, TR, and GT trim levels. For the 2025 model year, however, the Japanese automaker has added one more grade: the tS.
Following in the footsteps of the BRZ tS, the new Subaru WRX tS brings visual enhancements, a re-tuned chassis, and several other goodies to the party.

One of the highlights is the new STI-tuned suspension. It features electronically controlled dampers and revised tuning. Drivers can choose between the Comfort, Normal, and Sport modes by using the Drive Mode Selector, which was only available on the GT flavor until now.

Subaru's 2025 WRX tS rides on 19-inch multi-spoke alloys with a satin gray finish and sports a special emblem at the rear. The side mirror caps, shark-fin antenna, and rear spoiler are finished in Crystal Black Silica. Elsewhere, it has the same styling as the regular WRX, including the chunky hood scoop and every other visual feature.

Inside, there is a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Blue accents complement the door cards, steering wheel, gear shifter, and seat bolsters. The STI logo can be seen on the push-start button. The car comes with Recaro front seats with eight-way power adjustment for the driver, Ultrasuede upholstery in black with blue accents, and 'WRX tS' embossing on the headrests and floor mats.

Subaru also mentions the latest version of its 11.6-inch infotainment system, with wireless smartphone integration, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, etc. One interesting aspect is that the company chose to delete the power moonroof. The reason is that the latest addition to the 2025 Subaru WRX family is helmet-friendly. On top of that, by dropping the moonroof, the car manufacturer was also able to save a few pounds from the model's total weight.

The usual Eyesight Package will assist drivers on their daily commutes. The safety gear bundle includes lane departure and sway warning, a pre-collision braking system, a lead vehicle start alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Power still comes from the same 2.4-liter Boxer engine, which produces an identical 271 horsepower (275 ps/202 kW) at 5,600 rpm and 258 pound-foot (350 Nm) of torque at 2,000-5,200 rpm. The active torque vectoring remains a standard feature across the lineup.

Subaru will present the 2025 WRX tS at the Wicked Big Meet on June 2, which is the largest Subie enthusiast festival in America. The model will start arriving at dealers nationwide in the first quarter of next year. Pricing has yet to be released, but it will probably cost more than the current range-topping 2024 WRX GT, which has an MSRP of $44,215. The lesser TR, Limited, and Premium kick off at $41,655, $39,015, and $34,635, respectively, and the entry-level 2024 WRX starts at $32,735.
