Although in America, it has long foregone its passenger car legacy, Lincoln isn't doing so bad in terms of novelties – the 2025 Aviator mid-size luxury crossover SUV got thoroughly refreshed, and the slightly smaller 2024 Nautilus came to America with an all-new, China-made generation.
The luxurious 2025 Lincoln Aviator has a fresh front fascia, larger screens, and new special packages – but also a massive price hike after the starting MSRPs of the 2023 and 2024MY stayed put at $53,340, now it starts from at least $58,495. If you want the more sensible option, the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus kicks off at $51,405 – which is only $1k more than the corresponding 2024MY.
It's offered with Premiere, Reserve, and Black Label trims, and under the hood resides a 2.0-liter inline four or – for a couple grand more – a hybrid setup of the same turbo mill with 310 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. It turns out that acres of screens (the 48-inch panoramic display is not alone in the cabin) and a smooth hybrid powertrain are a sure recipe for success in this highly competitive segment where, just a few years ago, Lincoln couldn't hold a candle against a BMW or Mercedes-Benz. Alas, that doesn't mean there aren't things to improve.
Inside, Tesla connoisseurs will wonder how come you can't play games when stopped and outside, the subdued appearance of even the Black Label model will have ostentatious customers shop around for a different make and model. No worries, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is always available to come to the rescue – and Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist better known as kelsonik on social media, thinks that now is the right CGI time to make a ritzier Lincoln Nautilus.
After all, he worked on mid-size apparitions as of late – such as the Mazda CX-70 or the recently introduced 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, for example. But now he's firmly into luxury territory with the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus adorned with the pixel master's signature CGI Shadow Line treatment that eliminates all chrome elements for a cleaner look. There are also new wheels – much larger than the OEM options and also deeply concave for a menacing all-black multi-spoke feel.
So, what do you think? Does the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus have a better chance to stand out in any crowd with this CGI 'Shadow Line' treatment and the fancy all-black multi-spoke concave wheels against top competitors like the Mercedes-Benz GLE, Genesis GV80, Audi Q8, BMW X5, Lexus RX 350h, Volvo XC90, or the Cadillac XT6, among others? Also, keep in mind that it's not hard to personalize it with the official Black Label trim, but that also incurs a jump of the MSRP to no less than $75k from the onset.
