When it was introduced to America, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 (which was available to see in the metal at the 2024 New York Auto Show) got more of everything – a more mature design, more technology features, more horsepower under the hood, as well as more numbers in its MSRP!
Looking pretty much identical to the often-seen Infiniti QX Monograph concept presented in 2023 – it's a chunky three-row premium SUV with a monolithic appearance and blocky yet stylish design. Naturally, the bulky exterior has one great advantage – lots of room to spare inside. The cockpit embraces digitalization with a couple of 14.3-inch display screens plus a 9-inch one sitting on the front console.

Under the hood, the 5.6-liter V8 engine has gone the way of the dodo, and just like the Lexus LX 600 rival, it has downsized to a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. However, it has upsized on power, as now there are 450 ponies and 516 pound-feet of torque – all sent to the rear or all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The new chassis is stiffer than before, but the optional air ride suspension smooths things out and even drops 1.2 inches at high speed or 2.8 inches when parked.

At launch, the big Infiniti QX80 will cost from almost $85k with the mandatory $1,995 destination fee included, and there are four trims to choose from: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph. Note how all of them are oriented towards calm and serenity plus comfort. Well, it seems that certain folks don't think they are enough to fight the likes of BMW's X7 or Lexus LX. Instead, they would like to see the Infiniti QX80 go dark and menacing, perhaps with a 'Black Edition' of some sorts?

As it turns out, they can also do something CGI about it, as they are members of the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. More precisely, the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have unofficially imagined the CGI looks of the unannounced 2025 Infiniti QX80 'Black Edition.' As always, the channel's resident pixel master didn't get lazy – aside from the mandatory all-black murdered-out look, there are also many other unofficial choices for dual-tone colors, both inside and outside.

Alternatively, suppose you don't feel the rush to imagine the 2025 Infiniti QX80 featuring another grade besides the trims already bestowed in the real world. In that case, there's always the choice of CGI aftermarket upgrades. For example, Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist better known as kelsonik on social media, thinks that now is the right CGI time to play with the massive SUV again and lend it two types of new aftermarket-style wheels plus red-painted brake calipers. So, which one is your digital favorite?
