Cadillac is with one leg in the high-performance racing and V8 ICE-powered past and with another in the novel IQ all-electric lifestyle. Which one will prevail?
Today, the Caddy roster is quite something to behold. They are one of the final bastions for ICE-powered passenger cars as they sell the XT4, XT5, XT6, and Escalade crossovers and SUVs alongside the 2024 CT4 and 2025 CT5 four-door sedan series. You wouldn't think much of them, for sure, if not for the V-Series and Blackwing models, maybe, but they're truly some of the coolest four doors on the US market currently.

Soon, the roster will look like the ICE part is playing with the IQ part a match – the $58,590 Lyriq will soon be joined by the $54k Optiq and $130k Escalade IQ, as well as the 2026 Vistiq with space for more people on its three rows. Let us not forget, though, that Cadillac hasn't abandoned the high-performance ICE-powered lifestyle because the special editions CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud and CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre will soon reach dealerships.

Sure, 50 units of the CT4-V Blackwing Petit Pataud and another 101 examples of the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre, both dedicated to Cadillac's racing legacy, won't make a big difference across the sales charts. However, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade is an entirely different affair. Indeed, the Escalade IQ won't be the only Escalade fresh for 2025MY because after the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban plus the teased GMC Yukon, the luxury sibling is also up for a facelift – as showcased on numerous occasions by prototypes spied by the rumor mill.

In fact, even the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has 'joined the chat,' and we have seen the feisty 2025 Caddy Escalade-V in all its digital (unofficial) glory on a few occasions. One of those was offered by this virtual artist, better known as c_zr1 on social media, which now gives us even more CGI food for thought in the form of the hypothetical Escalade Platinum refresh.

Indeed, the current Escalade starts from $83,890 with RWD and $86,890 with 4WD, whereas the 6.2-liter supercharged Escalade-V kicks off at no less than $154,290. So, it makes sense that some folks wouldn't need all 682 horsepower but would rather go about their business in complete luxury and comfort by choosing one of the two Platinum versions – Premium Luxury Platinum or Sport Platinum.

As always, take all these renderings with a healthy dose of salt, as nothing has been official from the American luxury automaker just yet. However, we are pretty sure they will hit the sweet spot in terms of design because the 2025 Escalade has been incessantly spied on – including with no camouflage on its body. So, what do you think?
