2024 Shelby F-150: A $130K Beautified 400-HP F-150 Lariat, Guess What the 735-HP One Is

I don’t mean to divide the internet or Shelby’s fanbase, but summer is already one-third of the way behind us. My best guess is that within the next few days, it will open the gates for those 800 lucky pickup truckers who absolutely have to pay $141,000 for 785 supercharged horsepower (796 PS). That’s a ten-thousand-dollar option available for post-title vehicles only, and residents of non-green states must purchase the blower separately (and also pay for its installation).

The five-liter V8 in the Ford F-150 Lariat is good for 400 hp (406 PS), and if the Shelby-tuned version is ordered with this standard naturally-aspirated Ford powerplant, then the price of the Cobra-badged pickup truck is only $130,000. Truth be told, with the exception of the supercharger, the only other choice a Shelby customer has is to pick a color.

Nine external shades (four of them metallic) with four graphics variants are available, and only two paint schemes are offered at extra cost (Rapid Red metallic - $495 – and Star White Metallic - $995). The stripes are a no-cost option. Speaking of money, Shelby values the base chassis on which they are building the F-150 muscle truck at $77,000. The actual Shelby package is $62,995 (with the supercharger fitted).

Shelby doesn’t reveal what is offered on the regular Ford F-150 Lariat (which, on Ford’s website, has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of just under $69,000). However, for the $70,000 extra, a Shelby F-150 offers FOX 2.5 factory race series shock absorbers (with internal bypass shock technology), adjustable dual speed controls, performance rear traction bars, and a three-inch (76.2 mm) lift system. The Shelby truck comes with 22-inch alloy wheels shod in 35-inch premium all-terrain tires. A Borla cat-back exhaust is responsible for the V8 music.

On the inside, the go-anywhere-fast 2024 Shelby F-150 offers a carbon fiber trim kit, billet racing pedals, embroidered floor mats, and the traditional serialized plaque on the console. The dual intake hood, body-colored fender flares, power running boards with rock guard trim and entry lights, and the all-important Shelby emblems and stripes dominate the exterior.

The tuner announced that only 800 pieces will be sold in the United States, but international customers may approach any Shelby Authorized Distributor for details. Shelby offers a three-year / 36,000-mile warranty (powertrain included) regardless of which truck version is ordered. The supercharged performance numbers are valid with 93-octane fuel, and the company warns about using 91-octane gasoline or better for the 735-hp supertruck.
