2024 Nissan Qashqai Goes on Sale Overseas, Costs US-Spec Ariya Money

The compact crossover features the usual styling changes over the pre-facelifted iteration in a way that brings it closer to the Ariya battery-electric high-rider. It has a larger and prettier mesh grille, slim DRLs, and hidden headlamps. It features new LED lights and a different bumper at the rear.

Inside, the Japanese automaker has given the 2024 Qashqai an updated infotainment system with an Android-based operating system and built-in Google features. Nissan's Connect Services is on deck to remind customers if they forgot to lock the doors, close the windows, or warn them if their ride has been towed or if someone has messed around.

The "invisible hood view" is an interesting feature that allows the person driving the crossover to see the position of the front wheels as if they're looking at them from behind. This gizmo comes in handy while maneuvering the vehicle in tight spots, and it will keep the wheels safe from scratches. There is an upgraded Around View Monitor, too, which allows the driver to see the car from above and select one of eight different exterior cameras to visualize it from multiple angles and identify potential unseen hazards next to it.

Unlike traditional hybrids, Nissan's e-POWER system drives the wheels using the electric motor, assuring instant torque and linear response. Depending on the scenario, the turbocharged three-cylinder engine acts as a generator and sends power to the 188 hp (190 ps/140 kW) electric motor or the tiny 1.8 kWh battery. A plug-in hybrid option, let alone a full-blown electric derivative, is still unavailable for the 2024 Qashqai. But that's what the larger Ariya BEV is for. Additional powertrains include the 1.3L mild-hybrids offered with different outputs.

So, how much would you have to cough out for the 2024 Nissan Qashqai in the United Kingdom? That would be £30,135 for the base Acenta Premium, which comes out to $38,538, or about as much as a brand-new Ariya ($39,590 MSRP) in the United States. Picking up the N-Connecta means spending at least £32,305 ($41,313). The new N-Design grade, with its body-colored wheel arches and lower portions below the doors and the unique 20-inch alloys, starts at £34,845 ($44,561). The Tekna costs the same £34,845 ($44,561) as the N-Design and the Tekna+ kicks off at £38,875 ($49,715).

Production of the 2024 Nissan Qashqai has already commenced at the brand's Sunderland factory in the United Kingdom, which is where it has been put together since the original one came out in 2007. The facelifted crossover is now on sale across the nation, and it won't cross the Atlantic Ocean as the Rogue Sport to bridge the gap between the Kicks and Rogue (X-Trail in Europe).
