So far, the latest generation Ford Mustang has managed to evade the wacky makeover trend. Most major tuners have somehow forgotten that this muscle car exists, yet that does not mean you won't find various add-ons online if you want to make yours look flashy.
Speaking of showy builds, say hello to the one pictured above (and embedded at the bottom of this story). As the title says, it is a 2024 Ford Mustang GT with a widebody makeover that doesn't look bad at all. In fact, we reckon tuners like Liberty Walk are already considering similar projects, so it is likely a matter of time until they launch them. After all, the old S550 Mustang is in their portfolio, alongside the modern-day Bronco.
However, this S650 Ford Mustang GT has nothing to do with Liberty Walk or any other tuner that may cross your mind. The reason is that it doesn't exist. It calls Fantasy Land home, and came to life courtesy of rotislav_prokop, who shared the renderings online recently. Actually, it is a rendering walkaround video of the muscle car that shows it from multiple angles, emphasizing its CGI modifications, some of which are quite interesting.
One thing that makes it stand out immediately next to the stock new-gen Ford Mustang GT is the widebody makeover. It has swollen wheel arches at the front and rear, fatter side skirts, a chunky lip attached to the front bumper, and a sizeable air intake incorporated into the new hood. A large wing and a sizeable diffuser are the novelties at the back, and it also has a trunk lid spoiler. Interestingly, this muscle car has only two instead of four exhaust tips.
No tuning job, digital or not, would be complete these days without a set of aftermarket wheels. As it happens, the Mustang in question ticks this box, too, and the new alloys look like they were imported straight from the Land of the Rising Sun. They have wide lips and normal tires wrapped around them, and they still fit under the swollen arches despite the lowered ground clearance. This V8-powered muscle car has also joined the low-riding squad courtesy of the CGI-reworked suspension
The vehicle has a red paint finish, red brake calipers, bi-tone alloys, and black add-ons, and since it is all about showing off, its engine would be stock. The 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 produces 480 horsepower (487 ps/358 kW) at 7,150 rpm on 93-octane fuel, or 486 hp (493 ps/363 kW) at 7,250 rpm with the optional performance exhaust system installed. That's slightly less than the Dark Horse, whose 5.0L V8 is good for 500 hp (507 ps/373 kW). The upcoming Mustang GTD has over 800 hp on tap.
