Even though Dodge retired the aging Challenger (and Charger) at the end of last year, the Hellcat series, complete with the two Demons, continues making history at drag strips worldwide.
It feels like there is a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat/Demon (170) burning rubber at all car meets. Yet, unfortunately, not everyone who owns such a brutal machine can handle the immense power available via the right pedal and the tail-happy nature of this muscly model.

As a result, numerous crashed examples are listed for grabs on the used car market at any given moment. To its excuse, it is not only the Challenger but also its rivals from Ford and Chevrolet, the Mustang and Camaro, respectively, that get involved in all kinds of serious incidents. The only reason we've dedicated this story to the muscly Dodge is that we came across one looking to be saved.

It is a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat that only survived for over 300 miles (~480 km), judging by the odometer. However, the automotive hall of fame for ruined hot rides that is Copart, which is behind the ad that we will link in a few moments, states that this is not the actual mileage. Someone may have gone wrong with the gauge cluster when the car rolled over, which led to its bruises.

The images accompanying the listing reveal a mashed-up hood, right rear quarter panel, the passenger-side door, a beat-up front bumper, a smashed front windshield, and additional damages here and there. The suspension and brakes likely took a beating when the muscle car rolled over. On a more positive note, the interior is okay, and so is that monster of an engine, from what we can see.

As every muscle car enthusiast (and not only) and their pet knows, the Hellcat series uses the ubiquitous 6.2L supercharged V8. In its most humble offering, it was still good for over 700 horsepower and north of the 1,000 mark when it comes to the devilish Demon 170, which is capable of sprinting to 60 mph or 97 kph in just 1.66 seconds, thus making it one of the fastest vehicles on earth.

Now, this 2023 Challenger SRT Hellcat is listed for grabs as part of an upcoming auction. Those who want to see it in person before placing a bid must travel to Walton, Kentucky, as that is where they can find it. The vendor says the estimated retail value of a pristine copy is nearly $85,000, and it is clear that this one will fetch a lot less. But how much would you pay for it? And would you save it or strip it and sell it for parts? Tell us all about it in the comments area below.
