Let's try to imagine that somebody aimed to disguise the fresh arrival that is the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo into the 959. Sure, the performance of the 992 with a capital T is already more than suitable for such a transformation, but the impersonation would probably be difficult to swallow for most Porschephiles. However, there's nothing wrong with this exercise taking place in the real world, all with the help of a rendering.
The pixel painting sitting before us comes to portray a melange involving elements from both rear-engined, all-wheel-drive Zuffenhausen machines - yes, the Turbo can thank the 959 for its all-paw form.
Speaking of which, we can be grateful to the evolutionary nature of Porsche styling for the fact the three decades separating the machines don't seem to get in the way of this mix, visually speaking (at least to these eyes).
As for the source of this work, the digital work comes from digital label spdesignsest and, as you'll notice in the social media posts at the bottom of the page, we can enjoy this German mix in a multitude of shades.
Of course, this rendering can always serve as a symbol for the multitude of tuner projects that will be built on the 992 Porsche 911 Turbo. And, given the already-stellar handling and sprinting abilities of the flat-six wielder, you can expect at least some of these future custom toys to deliver otherworldly performance.
And we can't talk about the 959 without mentioning the fact that we'll probably have to wait for the second half of the decade before meeting the next Porsche halo car - the automaker is most likely waiting for a serious advance in battery technology, such as solid-state hardware, so it can incorporate this into the successor of the 918 Spyder.
And by waiting I mean playing the Formula E game and grabbing 15 percent of the Rimac electric hypercar builder, among others.
