The E63 S is without a doubt one of the most impressive sedans in the world. It's gone up against the Porsche Panamera Turbo and BMW M5 multiple times, winning most of its drag races thanks to its power and capable AMG-tuned AWD. However, Mercedes still feels the need to make mid-life updates which should debut this time next year.
The 2021 2021 Mercedes-AMG E63 sedan facelift was spied for the first time back in March, at the very end of the winter testing cycle. But since then, some of its features have been refined. For example, the Panamericana grille now has a new design, which mirrors that of the CLS 45 S.

The headlights are new, based on the LED "eyebrow" we can see from under the camouflage. Obviously, this goes with a new grille shape. The prototype also shows revisions around the back, where all-new taillights will spread to the trunk lid. We can see revisions to the bumper and an even more aggressive exhaust pipe setup, plus a small trunk lid spoiler.

Inside, you're expected to come across the new MBUX infotainment system and a new setup for the screens. Like the new S-Class that's coming out ahead of it, the E63 facelift should have one big screen on the dash, separated from the digital gauge cluster. New features will include augmented-reality satnav, which combines the navigation with the front-facing camera.

Power-wise, many AMG facelifts have let us down, such as in the case of the C63 or GLC 63. But with 510 HP, those models are already at the peak of what the segment has to offer, whereas the E63 has to face a competent M5 Competition.

The boss of AMG recently stated that the 4-liter V8 is reaching the limit of its abilities, so we can't imagine it going past the 650 HP mark.
