2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Hits Magny-Cours, Sets Impressive Lap Time

The naturally aspirated wonder that is the 3RS was taken to the French circuit by Motorsport Magazine. And, as you'll get to see in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, the rear-engined toy showed amazing abilities - keep in mind that the Porscha is animated by an atmospheric 4.0-liter flat-six, whose 520 hp might not sound like all that much nowadays.

Speaking of which, the N/A voice of the engine means the aural side of the video is as enticing as the visual one, so you should turn up the volume before reaching for the "play" button.

So, where does this pace the Neunelfer?

We can easily answer this question, as the said publication has thrown plenty of other machines at the French track. And you'll get to see a generous list in the video.

Nevertheless, we have to keep in mind that many of the cars listed here used Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, while only a few pack the stickier Cup 2 R, GT3 RS included.

Note that the 488 Pista setting a record for the track also has other implications. To be more precise, the Maranello machine managed to one-up the McLaren 720S, albeit with the two riding on different tires, as we explained in the dedicated article.
