Ladies and gents, pony car loves and Chevy Camaro worshipers, the time has come for you to know what kind of money will buy you the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro.
We're sure you want to dive in and read all the info you can get your hands on, but allow us to make things easier for you and start off with the beginning.

The 2016 Camaro starts at a suggested retail price of $26,695 for the 1LT version, while the most powerful Camaro SS ever starts at $37,295 for the 1SS.

Since we touched this aspect, you should also know the 2016 Camaro is offered in both coupé and convertible body styles. Also, Chevy came up with a simplified model lineup with just two models (LT and SS) and four trim levels (1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS).

Power is what all customers expect from a Camaro, and in this respect future owners will be able to choose between a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo mill with 275 horsepower, a 3.6-liter V6 good for 335 horsepower and the 6.2-liter bone-breaking V8 churning out 455 horsepower in the Camaro SS.

Equipment and grades

As far as standard features are concerned, the 2016 Camaro offers LED daytime running lights, keyless access with push-button start/stop, a rearview camera, electronic parking brake and a flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped around in leather.

On the tech side, the brand with the golden bowtie offers the Chevrolet MyLink with Apple CarPlay capability, OnStar 4G LTE connectivity with Wi-Fi hotspot and 8-way power driver, 6-way power passenger seats.

If the 1SS variant is the one winking at you from the 2016 Chevy Camaro range, be prepared to pay more but also enjoy a limited-slip differential offered only with the manual transmission, active rev matching and Brembo brakes to keep the beast under control when the situation demands it.

Higher up on the hierarchical ladder lies the 2SS version, which comes to the party equipped with leather-covered heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, head-up display and a Bose sound system.

Why so much attention for this grade? Here's the answer:

“For the fifth-gen Camaro, nearly two-thirds of Camaro SS buyers selected the 2SS trim,” said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. “For those buyers, the 2016 Camaro 2SS comes with practically every available option. The only additional features available are Magnetic Ride Control suspension, a power sunroof, in-dash navigation, dual-mode exhaust system and an eight-speed automatic transmission.”
