What has four cylinders and a turbo? Probably this test prototype for the 2015 Ford Mustang, which when entering production will offer an EcoBoost alternative to the popular V6 and V8 engines.
Ford doesn't sell as many Mustangs as it did back in the day, but the coupe is still very important for their brand identity and probably more of a halo than the GT40 supercar.
As a consequence, offering a turbo four-cylinder engine could prove controversial. As GM has started selling the Camaro and Corvette in Europe as well, the Mustang will also be a global product. The styling will be less retro and old-school leaf suspension will be replaced by a more expensive independent setup.
This video just released by Mustang6G tells us nothing about the styling, but it does offer us a rare glimpse of what the new 'Stang could sound like. We could be mistaken, but it does sound a little turbo-ish.
