General Motors has announced that the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban SUVs will return an EPA-estimated 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway.
The figures are available for the models equipped with two-wheel drive and represent a nearly ten percent increase in highway mileage and seven percent in city mileage over the previous versions.
Both the 2015 Tahoe and the Suburban, which are powered by GM’s 5.3-liter V8 engine (335 hp / 383 lb-ft of torque) will arrive in US dealerships this spring, with pricing starting from $45,595 and $48,295 respectively.
Customers will be able to choose between eight exterior colors, three trim levels and either two-wheel or four-wheel drive.
Later this year, Callaway will introduce supercharger packages that will increase power to 450 hp and 450 pound-feet of torque on both models.
