Victory reveals the new 2014 Cross Country line-up, and we're delighted to see that no less than 8 color options are available, from the sober and menacing all black scheme to the flame designs for an exceptional eye candy-factor.
The 2014 Victory Cross Country is an awesome choice for those in search of a bagger but for whom the Milwaukee machinery does not feel exactly like the best bike money can buy. Sporting a classic line with modern cues, the 2014 Cross Country is a great machine for touring as it comes with generous hard saddlebags, good protection against the elements thanks to the large fairing and the windscreen, and also has a bucket seat with plenty of room for the pillion.
Speakers are integrated in the fairing, so if riding and listening to your fav music scores is the name of your game, you're all set up. The loudspeakers come from Kicker, and are no cheap "just add some speakers" units. Cruise control and ABS are standard, but the 8-Ball and Suede Titanium Metallic won't have it, for reasons which elude us.
Aside these two features, the tech specs are pretty much the same throughout the Cross Country family: 106cui (1,731cc) Freedom v-twin power unit, 6-speed overdrive tranny, triple 300mm rotors, massive 43mm forks and gas-charged mono in the rear.
The 2014 Victory Cross Country weighs in at 760 lbs (345 kg) and is available in Gloss Black, Havasu Red, White Metallic, Suede Titanium Metallic, Two-Tone Boss Blue & Gloss Black, Two-Tone Suede Supersteel & Black, Suede Silver w/ Flames and Tequila Gold w/ Flames. Prices start at $18,999 (€14,380).
