Vespa announces their ultra-stylish 946 scooter will finally cross the pond and be available in Canada, in November or so. Since the US is a very strong market, the 2014 Vespa 946 will in dealerships south of the Canadian border, too, as the classic Italian scooter seems to have a lot of fans there, too.
There is one problem, though: pricing. While we can accept the fact that this modern-retro two-wheeler is a bit on the special, prototype-ish side, we still fail to see why is an 125cc scooter priced just under the $10,000 mark (€7,775).
There are countless amazing machines out there, waiting to see the inside of one's garage for more or less than ten grand, and some of them are really awesome maxi scooters with tons of funa bout them. Let alone the fact that for this money, a very cool electric two-wheeler could be registered to one's name...
However, we know there will be a lot of people spending the big bucks to get the Vespa 946, and even more who will be left without one and cursing the day they hesitated to visit the Vespa dealership with an advanced deposit check. So, that's it: the Vespa 946 will be a hit, get used to it.
