Less weight, more power, more torque and more style, what could a rider demand from his or her new custom exhaust system. Those who bought the 2014 Triumph Street Triple have one more reason to rejoice as Two Brothers Racing (TBR) announces the all-new S1R aftermarket silencer for this model.
The S1R is a slip-on unit and installing it will shave 3 lbs (1.3kg) off your bike, while providing a 2.3 horsepower boost, from the 95.15 hp figure in OEM trim to 97.45. The peak torque is also increased a bit, with the TBR S1R adding 0.63 lb-ft (0.85 Nm) to the max figure.

TBR’s S1R can be used with the existing catalyst and O2 sensor, but when it comes to noise levels, you’d better make sure you won’t run into trouble: the stock silencer of the Street Triple puts out 92 decibels, whereas the S1R is significantly louder at 112 db.

This silencer is made from aerospace-grade high-temperature carbon fiber, with a 33 million modulus carbon tow and impregnated with a special resin under extremely tight tolerances. The can comes with a Teflon-coated magnesium end-cap, a CNC machined aluminium outlet, a stamped spring-fit inlet and with a rubber-lined mount. The core is spiral-wound perforated and you can install a db-killer noise reduction insert.

If you feel like adding a serious piece of race-grade exhaust technology to your 2014 Triumph Street Triple, the TBR S1R slip-on silencer can be yours for $599.98 (€434).
