Following several teasers and leaked photos, the 2014 Range Rover was finally revealed at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.
Described as the "fastest, most-agile, and responsive Land Rover ever" built, the 2014 Range Rover is much lighter than its predecessor thanks to its new aluminum structure and provides improved fuel economy and reduced emissions.
Gifted with a standard eight speed automatic ZF transmission and several safety and driving assistance technologies, the new British luxury SUV comes in four trims, priced from $63,495 to $93,295, including the $895 delivery fee. As we already told you, the Range Rover sport can be had with two engines: a 340 HP 3.0-liter Supercharged V6 (for the SE and HSE versions), and a 510 HP 5.0-liter Supercharged V8 (for the Supercharged and Autobiography variants).
Since the wheelbase is now seven inches longer, the 2014 Sport provides greater passenger room and improved rear cabin access and can be equipped with a 5+2 third row seating option. The luxurious interior is said to be "superbly crafted" and have a "sporting character". This means more soft-touch surfaces, aluminum finishes, satin chrome trims, leather-wrapped surfaces, twin-needle stitching, and many more.
The full range of design options available will include 19 exterior paint finishes, 3 contrast roof colors, 3 exterior accents options, 11 interior color themes, addition choice of seat color, 4 aluminum interior finishes, 3 real wood veneers, 3 headliner colors, illuminated side sills and wheels options ranging from 19 to 22 inches.
