The 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage will be introduced to the US market with a price of “around $13,000”, the Japan-based company has revealed yesterday.
Speaking to AutoGuide, Mitsubishi Motors North American product communications manager Roger Yasukawa announced the 2014 Mirage will be price around the $13,000 mark, adding that the company’s subcompact is meant to target Chevrolet Spark buyers. For comparison purposes, the Chevrolet Spark is priced from $12,995, including delivery fee.
Although it will be one of cheapest cars sold in the US, the Mitsubishi Mirage will offer a wide range of standard features, such as adjustable steering wheel, automatic climate control, keyless speaker or power windows and mirrors.
The new Mirage will be powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine good for 77 HP. As far as transmissions are concerned, future customers will be able to pick either a five-speed manual or a CVT.
