For a while now, Maserati news have been more about the newly released Ghibli and its diesel V6 engine. Meanwhile, its bigger sibling, the Quattroporte, is already roaming the streets scaring puppies and old ladies.
And not because of some V6 diesel. It’s the Ferrari-developed V8 that’s guilty for such noisy havoc. Spotted by Youtube user Gumbal at a “Cars and Coffee” event in Netherlands, the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte does what knows best: it roars like a supercar, no matter the speed!
Just in case you forgot, the Maserati Quattroporte comes with a choice of only two engines: a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 or a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8. The latter boasts 530 HP and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. That means the sedan can reach a top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h) and 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.7 seconds.
Sure, this luxury vehicle doesn’t come with a bargain price, but go ahead a watch the video for dose of V8 music. Be careful with that volume though...
