French automaker Citroen has unveiled the first details about the new 2014 Grand C4 Picasso.
Able to offer seating for seven people, the new Picasso is underpinned by the EMP2 platform and weighs up to 110 kg (242.5 lbs) less than the outgoing model. Developed to provide the "best combination of versatility, cabin space & accessibility", the 2014 Grand C4 Picasso also benefits from a longer wheelsbase that measures 2,840 mm (111.8 inches).
Outside, the vehicle sports a restyled front fascia, new taillights, a panoramic roof, and a sselection of 16 to 18-inch allow wheel. In the cabin, the new Grand C4 Picasso brings class-exclusive features such as front massaging seats, "Relax" mode passenger seat and air vents for passengers in the third row.
Under the bonnet, the MPV will become available with the e-HDI 90 Airdream, the e-HDI 115 ETG6 and the BlueHDI engines, with the first choice returning as much as 74.3 mpg (3.8 l/100 km) combined. The units can be had either with a six-speed manual or a new six-speed Efficient Tronic Gearbox.
