Priced from $75,000, the 2014 Cadillac ELR is far from being an affordable EV. It costs more than a base Tesla Model S and twice as much when compared to the Chevrolet Volt.
But if you really want an ELR coupe and don’t have $75,000 to spare, Cadillac is leasing the green luxury vehicle for $699 a month for a 39-month term. Current owners and lessees of 1999 or newer GM vehicles will need to pay $4,999 at signing, while those that don’t own one will need to get $5,999 out of their pockets.
Tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional features are not included in the deal. Unfortunately, the lease limits the driver to only 32,500 miles over the 39 months, which is about 833 miles a month. This doesn’t mean you won’t be able to drive more, but you’ll have to pay 25 cents per mile for each mile over the 32,500 mark.
