The 2014 Cadillac ATS is now available to order in China, following the compact sedan's official launch at the Auto Guangzhou 2013. The first units will be imported from the United States until Cadillac's Chinese plant is competed by the end of the year.
Unlike North American customers, who can have the ATS with a choice of three engines, Chinese buyers will only get the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The units is rated at 272 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque and enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.2 seconds.
According to GM Authority, the Cadillac ATS will cost from RMB 308,000 to RMB 438,000, which means about $50,600 to $72,000 at current exchange rates. The price should drop once local production commences. The new ATS joins the other four Cadillacs that are currently available in China - the XTS, SRX, CTS and the Escalade.
