This week something is definitely happening at Munich. While we're waiting for the F10 5 Series LCI model, something special happened: we got an early glimpse of the LCI M5.
According to Bimmertoday.de, one 'misfortunate' employee, in charge with the bmw.de configurator posted pictures with the 2014 LCI M5, before the official introduction of the model was done.
Lucky for us, someone was quick on the 'Screenshot" button and posted some pictures online. Well, let's see what's changed in these photos.
First thing you'll notice are the front kidney grilles that are strikingly similar to the ones on the M6. They now have a different setup and the M5 logo makes a daring appearance.
Second, the headlights and the taillights look slimmer due to a slight redesign. The interior will receive a lot more attention from now on though. The new iDrive touch system makes an appearance along with a new M Sport steering wheel that wasn't available up until now.
The car in the pictures has the Carbon Ceramic Brakes option that costs €8,800 ($11,450) but those are not expected to be offered as standard on the LCI M5 that will cost €103,000 ($134,000) but will probably be part of the Competition Package that is rumored to be launched along with the refreshed model.
