Acura is voluntarily recalling the 2014 RLX four-door sedan to replace rear suspension bolts that may not have been tightened properly, the automaker announced earlier this week, adding that 7,387 units are affected by this issue.
“During assembly, it is possible that one or more of the eight bolts that attach several rear suspension components were not tightened properly. A bolt that is not properly fastened could loosen over time and fall out, possibly allowing a portion of the rear suspension to move out of proper alignment, increasing the risk of a crash,” the manufacturer said in a statement.
2014 Acura RLX owners, who will receive mailed notification beginning early January 2014, are advised to take their vehicles to an authorized dealer as soon as possible. Customers can contact the automaker by calling (800) 382-2238 and selecting option 4.
