The 2013 Mercedes SL is a fresh presence on the market, so the tuners are just starting to target the model and we’re here to give you the latest development related to this.
The R231 SL was recently targeted by MEC Design, which fitted the car (an SL550 was used) with a custom body kit and followed the classic recipe of “add rims and lower” in order to make it stand out without seeming too pumped-up.
The front and rear bumpers use styling cues borrowed from the AMG design language, while the car rides on 20-inch MecxtremeI wheels, which use a satin finish.
In addition to that, MEC Design also installed an electronic lowering module for the air suspension, which brings the car 55 mm closer to the road, as well as a custom exhaust that allows customers to choose between two types of pipes with different sounds: Daytona and Earthquake.
