Right now, the Korean automakers are at the top of their game, not only in North America, bur also in Europe. Hyundia is obviously the sales leader of the two, but Kia too has made huge leaps in recent years, which have resulted in the automaker dramatically improving its brand image.
However, some cars that they heavily rely on in their sales charts still need a substantial revision. Just about every month of sales increases Kia announces, its top performer is the C-segment Cerato, Forte or K3, depending on the market.
KoreanCarBlog today reports on what a number of forums are calling an authentic rendering from Kia of the 2013 Forte sedan, which is supposed to debut next month at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. There has been no official word yet, but the situation should be clarified in a couple of weeks. The car is supposedly designed by Peter Schreyer, the same person responsible for the GT concept and the Picanto. The glass is different from the current car, and since this isn’t usually changed in a facelift, it’s likely a new Forte.
