This year’s Gumball 3000 has recently claimed its second four-wheeled victim, with a Ferrari 458 Italia being crashed after the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV that was recently hit.
It all happened in Latvia, with the accident taking place during heavy rain. The 458 we are talking about belongs to team Betsafe.
The details of the crash are unclear at the moment, but it seems that the driver lost control and ended up hitting the side guardrail. The front end suffered heavy damage and, unfortunately, the supercar spun and the rear was also hit.
This was a pretty serious impact and the airbags were deployed, but the driver and the passenger managed to escape without any serious injuries. Let's hope that this is the last accident of the 2013 Gumball 3000, as each of these crashes increase the efforts needed to make the rally happen again next year.
