Since the 2013 Can-Am Outlander XT ATV series offers no less than 5 "flavors", we guess pretty much anyone could find the right machine for the task and budget. The Outlander XT comes in 400, 500, 650, 800 and 1000cc classes, so the choices are up to the most particular needs.
The XT 400 is the only one without fuel injection and power steering, so in case these features are really important for you, you should be moving up the displacement list. The rest of the ATVs in the series sport 3-way adjustable power steering and auto-locking front differential, with cast aluminium wheels.
The Outlander XT 500 and up ATVs are powered by V-twin engines, running smoothly and with revised airboxes and radiators for increased cooling capacity. The heavy-duty bumpers are backed by strong luggage racks which can accommodate 135 kg of gear (300 lbs, combined) or some of the special Can-Am design boxes and luggage systems.
For both outdoor chores and trail fun far from the asphalt, the 2013 Outlander XT ATVs also come with hand deflectors and powerful magnetos. Prices start at $7,849 (€5,837).
