Volkswagen AG is riding a wave of excitement right now, as it’s getting ready to launch not only the new Audi A3 and VW Golf, both based on the MQB modular platform, but also some new engines that take efficiency to new levels.
The new Audi A3 will be lighter and more efficient and will be revealed as a three-door model first, at the Geneva Motor Show in March. By the end of the year, it should also be in dealerships across Europe, and will evolve into a sedan for the first time.
The three-door will be wider than ever before, while also appearing much sleeker. The wheel arches are more substantial, and there are also strong character lines near the bottom of the car. As for the front end, the headlights are sculpted and flow with the new hexagonal grille.
