Earlier today, we told you that the Audi S6 and S7 were recalled due to a fuel leak concern. It seems that the call back is expanding further into Audi’s range, with the A8, as well as it’s go-fast version, the S8, now being recalled over a sunroof issue.
It appears that the glass sunroof could break and while the shreds could injure the vehicle occupants, the distraction itself could cause the driver to crash the vehicle.
The sunroof is standard feature on the US A8 and S8 models belonging to the 2013 and 2014 model years, so they’re all being called back.
Thus, a total of 1,120 A8 units will see their panoramic sunroofs being replaced at no cost. You can read all the details of the campaign in the press release below.
