It's a tough, tough world that of vans, especially in the US, where more than one manufacturer are doing their best to capture the biggest share of the market as they can. In this competitive world, every edge may make the difference, regardless of this edge being an innovative technology or some type of cool paint job.
For a cool paint job went Nissan, the Japanese manufacturer which is getting ready to launch the 2012 NV van next year. To make the model more appealing, the carmaker partnered with Original Wraps to provide each of the future customers with one nice toy.
A software application is currently being developed, one which will allow NV customers to design their own van graphics and then have them installed on the vans they buy or already own. The application will be available next January at the following link.
“We’re pleased to offer high quality, customized vehicle personalization with hundreds of different graphic designs created specially for the new Nissan NV,” said Joe Castelli, Nissan Commercial Vehicles and Fleet vice president.
“It’s part of our innovative approach to thinking about how our customers use their vans – including as a vehicle for advertising their company and services.”
As for the NV van, it will be launched in two grades, S and SV, in the beginning of next year. The choice of engines is enough for the van lover, allowing the customer to opt between a 4.0l V6 or a 5.6l V8. All 2012 NV models are equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the NV start at $24,590.
