The 2012 Audi A3 is an eagerly awaited vehicle and now Audi is offering us the first photos of the car’s interior, using the Consumers Electronics Show (CES) for this.
The cabin of the new A3 comes with a clean layout, while the dash is angled towards the driver, offering a sporty feeling. The materials used are superior and the designers seem to have focused on the ergonomics. The MMI interface comes with a new control panel, which offers the driver a larger knob, which includes a touchpad that comes with a handwriting recognition function.
The main toy is the infotainment system, which has been developed together with Nvidia and comes with specs worthy of a laptop, such as a 1.2 GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor. Audi even says that this will subsequently be replaced by a 1.4 GHz Tegra 3 processor. The system uses a pop-up display that is extremely slim, also playing an important role in the design of the cabin.
The new generation of the Audi A3 is expected to make its debut in March, at the Geneva Motor Show.
