The 2011 Geneva Auto Show in March will be the perfect occasion for Italian symbol Alfa Romeo to introduce its new model year 2011 MiTo, an improved version that will come with several enhancements over the current edition. The 2011 MiTo will go on sale across Europe in April and will be offered with new exterior colors and new fabrics for the interior, as well as with new options and technologies "to enhance comfort and driving feel," as the company said.

A reworked MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde will be also on display, equipped with a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine that generates a maximum 170 horsepower. Also new are the Sabelt sports seats with carbon fiber backrest. Another customized MiTo will be powered by a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo with 135 horsepower and mated to Alfa's TCT transmission and fitted with Start&Stop systems.

The latter will be showcased dressed in the new exterior color "Bronzo Metal", while wearing Tecnosilk two-tone (bronze and black) interior upholstery.

A facelift of the MiTo model is expected to be launched next year, with the engine range to be revised for better efficient and reduced emissions. Persons from within the company hinted that it could feature a 0.9-liter engine that would develop around 105 horsepower and will reach fuel consumption figures of 4.5 l/100km (52.2 mpg).

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
