British carmaker Lotus released today pricing information for the US bound Evora, as it will enter showrooms in the first quarter of 2010. The American Lotus aficionados will be able to purchase the Evora for $73,500. The car will come with a 3-year/36,000-mile limited vehicle warranty and 8-year chassis perforation warranty.
The only mid-engine 2+2 sports car in production is powered by a 3.5l V6 engine engine developing 276 hp at 6,400 rpm and 258 lb.-ft at 4,700 rpm. As with any Lotus car, the Evora also features a lightweight chassis technology.
Combined into one neat package, the Evora achieves naught to sixty acceleration time in 4.9 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 160 mph. Fuel consumption rating for the sports car stands at 30 mpg.
On the inside, the Evora comes with "the finest leather from renowned experts Muirhead," hand-trimmed and twin-stitched. The center console is wrapped in aluminum, with the leather steering wheel decorating the driver's side.
Both the driver and the passengers will sit in adjustable Recaro seats, with the rear ones hidden within the profile of the Evora. Comfort for all is also insured with the use of an Alpine audio system with available touch-screen navigation, iPod connectivity and Bluetooth.
"Evora is designed for people who desire the exotic sports car characteristics of stunning design, exclusivity, dramatic proportions and performance. However, it offers real-world usability, surprising efficiency and a unique sense of occasion as well," Lotus says in a release.
